Origins of the Word “Ecozoic”
“The etymology of “Ecozoic” is that it is based on the prefix “eco-,” derived from the Greek word “oikos” meaning house, household, or home, and the suffix “-zoic,” from the Greek word “zoikos” meaning pertaining to living beings. Thus, Ecozoic Era, based on this etymol- ogy, means the era of the house of living beings”
